Robert Hopkins Environmental Industry: Waste Management and Recycling

THE ISSUE

Robert Hopkins Environmental is an established waste management services provider in West Bromwich. The business has grown significantly in the recent years and effort was required to improve business process management and compliance. They had begun a digital transformation journey and were seeking an end-to-end solution to support operations and improve compliance procedures. As an owner managed family business, Robert Hopkins was seeking a supplier that would take time to get to know their business and build relationships with the project team, not only understand the business requirements but facilitate scope discussion and product & process development whilst recognising the impact of change to the organisation.

THE PROCESS

Rob Chattaway at QC took the time to visit onsite, demo the system and workshop ideas and potential solutions that the QC system could offer. They began their QC drive in Autumn 2019 and completed implementation in early 2020. 

“The timing could not have been better. When the pandemic struck in March 2020, our centenary year, like many businesses we were facing the unknown and we knew it would be challenging to maintain business operations. QC allowed us to implement homeworking for office based immediately and safely continue business operations at 100% which would not have been possible without the system and more notably the support we received from Rob and the QC team. We have continued to work closely with the QC team as we seek to continuously improve our business processes and systems. This has included connecting with other QC customers, facilitated by QC, to work on system development for changing legislation and sharing best practice.

THE OUTCOME

Adoption of QC has been a resounding success at Robert Hopkins Environmental. BioMarsh Environmental Ltd Industry: Liquid Waste Solutions

THE ISSUE

BioMarsh Environmental specialise in a number of environmental services one being the removal of hazardous waste. The removal and tracking of hazardous waste follow strict guidance which ensures company and environmental compliance. Using a paper-based solution for many years, BioMarsh Environmental endeavoured to find a digital solution to solve two main issues, compliance and to elevate the reams of paper consignment notes stored on site.
